Pre Session Checklist
1. The Projector Is On
If the the screen in the bay is black or blank this probably means the projector is on or the computer is asleep. First, move the mouse and click around to see if this wakes up the projector. If nothing appears still find the white projector remote in the bay, point it directly at the front of the project, and click the power button. A green light on the projector should turn on and shortly after the picture should begin to appear onto the screen in front of you.
2. The GC Hawk is Turned on and the ball reading indicator light is flashing either Blue or Green
If the light in the middle of the hawk is dark this means that the hawk is not powered on. Find the small white puck on one of the bay walls that reads “ON” and “OFF” and click the “ON” Button. Once pressed the light will initially turn yellow and eventually change to blue and begin flashing, Once the light is flashing blue this will signify that it is looking for your ball and you’ll be ready to start recording shots!
3. Open The FSX Play Software on the desktop and let it load.
If FSX Play is not already open and displaying on the hitting screen in the bay please locate the FSX “PLAY” Icon on the desktop of the PC and double-click it to open. If a message appears please click allow and the software will begin to load. Sometimes it takes a minute or 2 for it to appear so be patient! Eventually the screen shown in the image will appear and you will be ready to begin your round or practice session!
How do I know the hawk is ready for me to hit a shot and has found my ball?
If you are right handed hitter the ball need to be placed on the right side of the hitting turf If you are a left handed swinger then the ball should be placed on the left. When the ball has been found you will see the blinking blue or green light turn solid. This indicates that the hawk has found your ball and is ready for you to take the shot. If you place your ball outside of the hitting zone or to centrally on the hitting mat the indicator light will never turn solid due to not being able to find your ball. The image on the right shows where the hawk hitting zones are.
